Today it remains a deliberately one-person consultancy. Every brief, every line of code, every architecture call comes from me. There is no junior bench, no "delivery team", no handover. If you hire Kick Technic, you get the same person who scoped the work, on the day the work happens.

I left Manchester Metropolitan University with an M.Sc. Computing by Research (Neural Networks) and spent nearly a decade in the video-games industry writing audio code — the kind of work where a 200ms latency bug in production gets noticed by a million people the following Saturday. It taught me to ship things that actually work.
Since 2003 I've worked exclusively in document and data capture, including a long stint at one of the UK's leading Tungsten Automation (Kofax) Platinum partners. In that time I've personally designed and implemented over 100 production capture and automation solutions for NHS Trusts, multi-national insurers, retail banks and local councils — everything from accounts-payable automation to digital mailrooms to estate-management workflows.
The depth matters. Most Tungsten (Kofax) projects stall on details: a misconfigured batch class that won't scale, a transformation project missing 30% of vendors, a TotalAgility upgrade that breaks an unscripted dependency. I've seen those failure modes enough times to know which decisions, made early, save weeks of rework later.
